چکیده

Unfeasible rice is one of the problems in food logistics Indonesia. This unfeasible tends to make farmers or BULOG losers because they have sell it at a cheaper price turn into animal feed. The characteristics are many breeds lice, yellow color, musty smell, and overgrown with fungus. Based on data, 100 grams contains 0.1 sucrose (C12H22O11). Sucrose double sugar molecule (disaccharide) that can be broken down simple sugars (monosaccharides) through enzymatic reactions. Monosaccharides utilized by humans as main energy source. shows not suitable for consumption used an alternative raw material making sugar. Therefore, idea innovation was born study aims determine ratio optimum reaction time hydrolysis unfit using alpha amylase. So, hoped this research initial optimize agricultural yields finding materials method has been mashed amylase enzyme. Experiments were carried out variations number enzymes length hydrolysis. percentages kilogram 0.8%, 0.9%, 1% two days hydrolysis, three four days. results obtained showed highest glucose level 11,769.45 ppm 0.9% w/w enzyme fourth day. Keywords: rice, sugar, amilase

Phytotoxicity of methylene blue to rice seedlings

Methylene blue is widely used in various industrial branches. Due to insufficient treatment, its occurrence in wastewater is frequently detected, which may result in serious environment problems to aquatic organisms. Hydroponic experiments were conducted with rice seedlings (Oryza sativa L. cv. XZX 45) exposed to methylene blue to determine the effective concentration using relative gr...

Pseudo-Homogeneous Kinetic of Dilute-Acid Hydrolysis of Rice Huskfor Ethanol Production: Effect of Sugar Degradation

U k D hyd k O H B ⎯ ⎯ → ⎯ ⎯ ⎯ → ⎯ + deg 2 Abstract—Rice husk is a lignocellulosic source that can be converted to ethanol. Three hundreds grams of rice husk was mixed with 1 L of 0.18 N sulfuric acid solutions then was heated in an autoclave. The reaction was expected to be at constant temperature (isothermal), but before that temperature was achieved, reaction has occurred. The first liquid sa...

Rapid response of rice plants to arsenite toxicity

Absorption of arsenic (As) by plant root is an essential activity that bridges the soil As concentration and physiological responses which can be monitored soon after exposure to As. In the present study, physiological responses to short exposure to arsenite (AsIII) was compared in two indigenous rice cultivars one adapted to temperate and humid (TH) and the second one to warm and humid (WH) cl...

Differential responses of two Iranian rice cultivars to arsenite toxicity

Arsenic (As) is a toxic metalloid which is usually found in rice fields as a contamination and has negative effects on the plant growth and reduces the crop yield. Similar to heavy metals, the deleterious effects of As may be due to, at least in part, the amount of absorbed As and disturbance of the plant water status. I...
